The original concentric slave cylinders used by Nissan are flimsy plastic units which are prone to failure, especially on vehicles with upgraded or heavy-duty clutches. When replacing the slave cylinder, we highly recommend replacing the master cylinder at the same time. Contaminants in the fluid often cause the masters to fail at or near the same time, and opening and re-bleeding the system tends to facilitate failure.
